What was your first ever job?

In high school I did work experience at Lincraft and I was pretty terrible at customer service so I was given the task to organise the heavy rolls of fabric that were scattered around the shelves. When I finished, the fabric rolls were placed in a perfect gradient of colour. For me, it was such a satisfying sight and it reconfirmed my urge to pursue something design related as a career!

Who is your professional hero and why?

Hmmm… I don’t actually follow anyone. If I have to pick a hero I’d pick my Dad. He built up a successful business from nothing. To me, he’s proof that hard work and persistence will get you anywhere.

What is your proudest moment (work or personal)?

When I gave and nailed a presentation on accessibility for a large group of people. Also when I managed to bake my own 2 tier 30th birthday cake. It may not be the best but I was proud I didn’t give up.

What advice would you give your 18-year-old self?

Take more chances and travel more. Also, buy a property as soon as you can afford to buy one.

Who is your favourite person/brand to follow on social media and why?

Konsta Punkka (@kpunkka) – amazing nature and wild animal photography simply stunning imagery.

Ta-ku (@takubeats) – great musician and amazing photographer, such a talented guy.

If you took a sabbatical what would you do?

See the world! There are so many places to go and so little time. I would love to travel around South America and Scandinavia.

What’s your favourite app and why?

I use Instagram a lot for browsing so it has to be one of my favourite apps. If you’re looking to touch up those late night selfies, give Facetune a go. I personally use it to touch up food photos but there’s not much of a difference between people and food right?

What’s the worst thing you’ve ever said in a meeting?

Gosh I tend to go blank and make long awkward pauses when I’m nervous. At my engagement party I forgot my fiancĂ©’s dad’s name. I died a little inside.

What’s your favourite game and why?

The Zelda series. Who doesn’t love playing a hero and rescuing princesses? It has everything from a great storyline to cute characters, epic music and a mixture of puzzle and roleplay adventure.

What do you love most about your job?

Day off on your birthday! Plus, we like pushing boundaries on a wide variety of projects here at Adrenalin from government sites to cool apps. Oh and my colleagues are pretty awesome too.
