To effectively grow Westfield Bondi Junction’s email marketing database in conjunction with a number of critical objectives; drive legitimate monthly newsletter opt-in’s, appeal and attract to Westfield’s core demographic, leverage targeted third party email marketing lists, design and build an engaging electronic direct mail (EDM) competition and facilitate the referral of entries to friends for maximum exposure.
The foundation of our strategy was the successful design and build of an engaging EDM that involved an integrated mail-out of both internal and targeted third party email marketing lists distributed to over 50,000 contacts during a two week period.
The insight gained into demographics and attitudes from the data was invaluable to the business and allowed for a major digital overhaul, which included a cleaner, more intuitive layout; distinct focus on the value of Westfield’s ongoing monthly newsletter and competitions; engaging imagery and utilising Westfield’s style guides to attract and engage users.
Following the campaign, Westfield acknowledged an increase of 4,000 new opt-ins and close to 4,000 referrals from this campaign – this represented a significant increase compared with previous years.
In addition, the EDM unsubscribe and bounce rates were well under the industry average comparisons.
The creative was also well received boasting clear call to actions, prominent and intuitive navigation paradigms and engaging and attractive imagery.
"Westfield Bondi Junction worked with Adrenalin Media to develop a sign-up competition to achieve the objective of acquiring new database members. They looked after the creative, technical functionalities and post-competition analysis and provided us with exceptional results and service throughout each stage. The competition was a success which was testament to Adrenalin Media’s hard work and superior results. The team was a pleasure to deal with and made us feel we were their only client."
