On Friday, a group of us packed our glad rags and headed to Melbourne for the annual AMY Awards run by AIMIA (Australian Interactive Media Association). Now in their 23rd year, the AMY Awards are a firm fixture on the Australian Digital Industry calendar. They celebrate digital excellence and attract over 500 entries each year.
Adrenalin was shortlisted for ‘Best Website or Online Services’ in the Automotive and Education & Learning categories for our work with Supercars and UNSW International. The level of work this year was exceptional and we were up against some stiff competition - here is a full list of the finalists. However, to our excitement and sheer delight we won both categories!
The night began with a surprise announcement from AIMIA’s CEO Jodie Sangster, who unveiled the new name and identity of AIMIA as the ‘Digital + Technology Collective’. The new-look association will now be head quartered in Melbourne and has been realigned around the five pillars identified by Pricewaterhousecoopers as the most commonly cited 'ingredients' for innovation. These are:
• Culture creation - through building an active community around our shared passion
• Capability - through standards, accreditation and education
• Thought leadership - through partnerships with the best in the industry
• Internal networking - through events, courses and programming
• Industry advocacy - through representing the voice of the industry where it counts
It is understood that the AMY Awards will continue, run by the Digital + Technology Collective and they will also be relocated to Melbourne.
We are delighted to add the new trophies to our collection. The agency has been recognised by the AMY Awards on numerous occasions over the years for our work with; BPAY, UNICEF Australia, Supercars, UNSW International, Proactiv and FortisWMS.
