I recently came across this simple yet brilliant concept. In a nutshell – it plans to be a 40” LED display/pc which has the ability (through an online connection) to display user-submitted art. When synched with your iPhone you are able to purchase new artworks and interact with them.
It might look like the monolith from Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, but hidden under the hood of this super minimal design is an i5 processor, wifi b/g/n support, a built in camera and microphone, stereo speakers, usb input – all running off Windows 7.
This means it has the ability to display various forms of artistic expression - whether it be static, motion, web applications or interactive.
It doesn’t take long to think of ideas on how we can utilise this technology, and it’s compatibility with well supported platforms such as Windows and Flash certainly broadens the limits and what we can potentially achieve.
